The countdown has begun as we are readying ourselves for our trip to the Western US. The last few months have been full of reservations to be made, activities to plan, visits to AAA, menu items to try, missing items for the trailer to buy, and more. We've gotten advice from others who have braved the road and survived. Then there are arrangements for who to house-sit and watch the dogs, mow the lawn, and take care of the guinea pig. We need to stop the mail, make sure the tow vehicle is in working order, get the trailer inspected and pack - food, clothes, equipment, and camping essentials such as charcoal and marshmallow sticks.
We have each chosen our favorite music, our favorite movies, and our favorite books to take along. The GPS, AAA books on every state, Good Sam trip planner to make sure every road can fit our trailer, National Park pass (thank you Lowmans), printouts of everything we can think we'll need are all part of the "stuff" we'll take along. Dan finally reminded me that other states have stores if we forget something.
