June 11 - We've been in four states today.  We left Ohio, went through Indiana, Illinois and finished up in Wisconsin and the Central Standard Time Zone. We've become very familiar with Route 90 and are grateful for EZpass.  We went from rural Indiana where we saw acres of farmland to the bumper to bumper traffic of Chicago.  Who knew they'd have rush hour traffic on a Sunday???

Some of the parts of these states surprised us with their many lakes, swampy areas and even seagulls.  The Great Lakes are super close though and we realized we could see some of Lake Michigan in the distance as we traveled.  We ended up going thru parts of Chicago and saw the stadium where the White Sox play.  We also saw the beautiful skyline of Chicago.  Mitch was the navigator for that part of the trip and in the front seat he took some cool pix.

We landed in Milton, Wisconsin.  It is a bit of a resort area with Lake Koshkonong. We're staying in a huge KOA campground with a nice pool to cool us off in the heat wave (it was 94 degrees when we arrived at 4:15 p.m.).  We heard there is a heat wave back home too and are happy to have air conditioning to sleep.

Here are some pix of our adventure last night and today.  The first is Caris by the sign of the place we stayed last night.  The second is in Indiana and the most of the rest are coming into Chicago.  You see route 55 goes to the shore here too.  The last is our welcome into Wisconsin.  Enjoy!

  1. Great progress. How was the rush hour traffic with the camper? I have been in the Willis Tower (former Sears Tower).

    1. We got in a lane and stayed in it. It worked. The trailer just follows where ever we go so we just don't go any where stupid.
